PEACE BUILDING & JUSTICE
Peace Building and Justice Project on Preventing Domestic Violence against Women is implemented in two districts i.e., Ri Bhoi District and East Khasi Hills District of Meghalaya. The objective of the project is to prevent genderbased violence in the community including sexual harassment, physical and mentally abuse. The project trains the SHG, federations, Village Development Council on gender equality, gender based-violence and Women’s right.

Federations have trained other members of the community on gender-based violence and women’s rights

Federations could assist the community members who are facing domestic violence through counselling and home visits.

The project has established networking with the North East Network for training of staff on gender-based violence.
