Integrated Tribal Development Project is being implemented in 5 villages of Mairang Block, under West Khasi Hills District in the year 2019. The project aims to promote sustainable participatory livelihood activities and aims for economic boost through sustainable agriculture, social empowerment, improvement of health and women development in the community
During the period 8 Farmers Club were formed and a total of 200 farmers completed with the plantation of horticulture crops where the project has supported saplings of 80 oranges, 120 guavas and 400 pineapples to these 200 families.
The basic components of the project are- Horticulture, soil conservation and water resource development, community health, women empowerment, community organization and training and capacity building.

Sprayer pump, hand shearing machine, lime, organic fertilizer and pipes were provided to all the 200 farmers and 40 treadle pumps provided to 8 farmers club for farm maintenance.
Formation of Project Level Tribal Development Committee (PLTDC) with the Block Development Officer (BDO) as the Chairman of the Committee and the members including representative from Soil & Water Conservation Department, Agriculture & Horticulture Department, Meghalaya State Rural Livelihood Mission, NABARB, Meghalaya Rural Bank and NEICORD. This committee provides technical assistance to the project and monitors the project on a six-monthly basis through field visits.
225 women were trained on non-farm activities i.e., Handicrafts for income generating activity
Exposure visit of farmers to ICAR Umiam was conducted for the farmers to further enhance farmers’ knowledge and skill in improved method of farming system.
22 farmers received agricultural loan from Meghalaya Rural Bank, Nongkhlaw Branch where each farmer could avail the loan of Rs. 50000.
